También se dieron a conocer los resultados obtenidos hasta el momento en las investigaciones realizadas en el Programa de Conservación de Tortugas Marinas, el cual abarca las playas de Piro hasta Carate.
Los asistentes tuvieron la experiencia de ser parte de la patrulla noctura y diurna, que todos los días caminan en la playa alrededor de 4 kilómetros para tomar datos científicos que ayudan a la conservación de las poblaciones de la tortugas marinas de Osa.
En el patrullaje de la mañana en la exhumación de un nido tuvieron la oportunidad de observar algunas tortuguitas que quedaban todavía dentro y acompañarlas en su camino al mar en donde emprederan su lucha por sobrevivir.
